Jeff loves sharing his story with students of all ages and grades. He has shared it with elementary school students and high school seniors alike, adapting his message to fit the maturity of his audience. And it’s a story they won’t soon forget.
Four days before his college orientation, Jeff lost his right arm (and, temporarily, his life) in a tragic industrial accident in July 1993. He will take your students through his journey step-by-step, battling depression, suicidal thoughts and self-esteem issues, which many students struggle with daily. He also shares the high of setting a world record for the longest drive of a golf ball hit with only one arm, which earned him a spot in ESPN’s Top 10 Plays of the Week. Using a whiffle golf ball and artificial mat, Jeff can demonstrate his golf swing to your students before taking questions.
